At 93 years old, longtime Hollywood darling Ellen Burstyn has already achieved so much in her celebrated acting career – yet, she still has brand new goals that she would like to see through in the near future.
After her granddaughter recently reminded her that she is only one Grammy nomination and win away from achieving “EGOT” status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), Burstyn is currently out promoting her new poetry book, “Poetry Says It Better” – which is a passionate collection of some of her favorite poems, as well as thoughtful insight into her own life and creative mindset over the years.
Known for her iconic roles in such films as Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, The Exorcist, Resurrection and many more beloved performances, Burstyn spoke with us here about her hopes that readers will take away from her poetry book and audiobook, which is available now. Burstyn also reveals what she still wants to achieve in her career today, the aspects of the Hollywood industry right now that she is less than pleased to be seeing happen and the greatest joys within her home life in 2026.
