In Overcompensating, Benny (Benito Skinner) arrives at college and isn’t eager to share a part of himself – that he’s pretty sure he’s gay – with his new community, and latches on to Carmen (Wally Baram), who is going through her own issues, to find a way to feel like he fits in.
Awards Buzz spoke with Skinner about the built-in audience he might already have for the show and how he pulled from and modified his own life experiences.
