Interview: Carl Clemons-Hopkins on Marcus’ Search for Self in Season 3 of ‘Hacks’

Hacks, now back for its third season on Max, is a show about the unhealthy working dynamic between veteran comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder). One of Deborah’s most loyal professional associates is Marcus (Carl Clemons-Hopkins) who, in season three, begins to explore just how much of himself he’s investing in someone who will never fully appreciate his worth.
