A woman gets into the back of a cab departing JFK Airport for midtown Manhattan. Over the course of the drive, which includes typical city traffic and a serious accident on the side of the road, the driver (Sean Penn) and his passenger (Dakota Johnson) begin casual conversation and end up going much deeper than either of them expect.
Awards Buzz spoke with writer-director Christy Hall about her own NYC experiences that led her to make this film. Watch the video above to hear how the film has gone over at screenings outside of New York and how it feels to have shown the film recently during the Tribeca Festival.
