Interview: Gabriel LaBelle on Meeting Jason Reitman and Transforming into Lorne Michaels in ‘Saturday Night’

Jason Reitman’s Saturday Night depicts the chaotic minutes leading up to the first-ever broadcast of what would soon become known as Saturday Night Live as creator Lorne Michaels (Gabriel LaBelle) scrambles to get everything to fall into place. Among the many personalities in his orbit is actor Chevy Case (Cory Michael Smith), whose overconfidence is dealt a serious blow when he has a run-in with the legendary Milton Berle (J.K. Simmons).
Awards Buzz spoke with Smith about what he knew of Chase and how he wanted to best represent him on screen. Watch the video above to hear about the experience of working with the talented ensemble during the making of this film.
