October 17, 2024In director Ben Snyder’s Allswell in New York, three Nuyorican sisters (Elizabeth Rodriguez, Daphne Rubin-Vega, and Liza Colón-Zayas) deal with complicated elements of life that cause them to question their perceptions and relationships as new opportunities and challenges emerge. The film opened at Tribeca in 2022 and, more than two years later, is now being released theatrically.
Awards Buzz spoke with Rodriguez, Rubin-Vega, and Snyder about the rare chance to see themselves on screen and the importance of telling their own stories. Allswell in New York has its world premiere at the 2022 Tribeca Festival and opens in theaters on Friday, October 18th.
