Evan (Brian Jordan Alvarez) faces a number of obstacles as a high school teacher in present-day Texas and quite often finds himself in the office of principal Grant Moretti (Enrico Colantoni), who, rather than stand by him through the latest challenge to his methods, usually wants him to tone down his antics and not give him more work to do.
Awards Buzz spoke with Colantoni about the way he felt about his teachers growing up and how that shapes his portraying of this principal. Watch the video above to hear him look back at highlights from his career and how he appreciates when people don’t recognize him since it means he’s found a new audience.
