December 11, 2024Greg Kwedar’s Sing Sing tells the true story of the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison, where Divine G (Colman Domingo) has high standards for the plays he and others put on, channeling the experiences they’ve been through into passionate on-stage performances that provide a sense of escape from their everyday surroundings.
Awards Buzz spoke with Kwedar about actually filming in prison facilities and what safeguards Kwedar and the cast took to ensure their mental wellbeing.
