Two and a half years after it first started, HBO’s Somebody Somewhere is coming to an end. As it enters its third and final season, Sam (Bridget Everett) is still figuring out who she is with the warm embrace of her best friend Joel (Jeff Hiller) and an increasingly pleasant relationship with her sister Tricia (Mary Catherine Garrison) as anchors.
Awards Buzz spoke with co-creators Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen, who also serve as executive producers, about their own relationship and how that’s inspired the characters. Watch the video above to hear what the journey has been like for them and for the show, and what they’re looking ahead to as season three premieres.
The final season of Somebody Somewhere premieres Sunday, October 27th, with new episodes dropping weekly on Sundays at 10:30pm through the series finale on December 8th.
