In Hossein Molayemi and Shirin Sohani’s Oscar-nominated short film In the Shadow of the Cypress, a captain lives with his daughter by the sea and is suffering from PTSD at the same time as a whale washes up on shore, blending reality and imagination and encouraging a journey towards healing.
