20th Century Studios’ Quiz Lady, which screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and AFI Fest prior to its November streaming release on Hulu, is an entertaining portrait of two sisters who couldn’t be any more different as one prepares for a life-fulfilling appearance on a game show. The project comes from director Jessica Yu, who has an expansive list of TV credits dating back more than two decades.
Awards Buzz spoke with Yu about transforming the script for an Asian-American cast and working with actresses Awkwafina and Sandra Oh.
