In the first segment of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s Freaky Tales, Tina (Ji-young Yoo) makes an immediate impression. She’s part of a crew that’s generally not into violence but she leads the charge to make an exception to that rule when her peaceful environment is threatened by a group of Nazis determined to stir things up and cause trouble.
Awards Buzz spoke with Yoo about her reaction to reading the script and the process of preparing for the role. Watch the video above to hear about the jolting experience of going from this project to a radically different role and tone in Prime Video’s Expats.
