From the world of Bosch, Detective Renée Ballard (Maggie Q) takes the lead in Ballard, supervising a team working specifically on cold cases that often has to push hard to get anyone to care enough to cooperate on long-dormant investigations with the potential to give people much-needed closure. Among her loyal team members are Zamira Parker (Courtney Taylor), who is convinced to return to policework by Ballard, and Thomas Laffont (John Carroll Lynch), Ballard’s seasoned but still committed former partner.
