In the Apple TV+ series Dope Thief, Mina (Marin Ireland) suffers a vicious injury to her throat while working as an undercover DEA agent, forcing her to communicate the rage she feels towards the people who hurt her in a different way and pouring all her energy into tracking them down.
Awards Buzz spoke with Ireland about the appeal of the character and the importance of safeguarding her own voice as she took on this role. Watch the video above to hear about her positive experience on set with Brian Tyree Henry and reflections on some of the standout roles of her career.
