Mike Schur returns to television with A Man on the Inside, a comedy series inspired by the Oscar-nominated Chilean documentary The Mole Agent, starring Ted Danson as Charles, a widower hired by private investigator Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) to go undercover in a retirement home to find a thief.
Awards Buzz spoke with Schur about doing his first adaptation and how that changed his approach. Watch the video above to hear how he thinks fans of his previous series like Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will appreciate this slightly gentler new show.
All eight episodes of season one of A Man on the Inside are now streaming on Netflix.
