“It is a wild! It’s so much action in this movie. I’m a vampire hunter, my first time playing a vampire hunter, and I love it. I love vampires. I don’t know why. I love all the blades and underworld. I just think it’s so cool, vampires and werewolves and all that stuff. I just have always wanted to be in that kind of project.”
Latasha M. Ford with Awards Buzz had an opportunity to catch-up for a candid chat with Nicki Micheaux on the upcoming, thriller film “Night Patrol.”

“It’s not like I love blood and guts. Yeah. I mean, I do like all the weapons in the movie. I do think that’s fun in a fun way,…. ’cause I don’t do it in real life. So doing it in a movie is like, “Ooh, yay, I get to have some fun. I don’t own a gun, but in a movie, I shoot six different guns and it’s just pure fantasy.”
About “Night Patrol”
The 2025 American horror thriller, Night Patrol. Directed by Ryan Prows, the film stars Jermaine Fowler, Justin Long, Freddie Gibbs, RJ Cyler, YG, Nicki Micheaux, Flying Lotus, Phil Brooks, and Dermot Mulroney. The plot follows an L.A. cop who must put aside his vast differences after discovering a task force harboring a secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects where he grew up.
Following its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 19, 2025, the film has received positive reviews from critics. It is currently scheduled for release in the United States by RLJE Films on January 16, 2026.
