Interview: Rhea Seehorn on Trying Something Quite Different with ‘Cooper’s Bar’

Rhea Seehorn has permanently endeared herself to viewers of Better Call Saul, earning two Emmy nominations for her portrayal of lawyer Kim Wexler. Now, she’s back for the second season of a show that, despite its affiliation with AMC, has nothing in common with that series: Cooper’s Bar. Seehorn’s cutthroat Hollywood executive is memorably cruel and never short on insults for anyone she encounters.

Awards Buzz spoke with Seehorn about what appealed to her about the role of Kris Latimer and what it’s been like to expand the show from short form in season one. Watch the video above to hear her take on whether people have found the show and other reflections on her career.

Rhea Seehorn is eligible for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at this year’s Emmy Awards. Cooper’s Bar is available to stream on AMC+ and on VOD.
