Interview: Joe Keery on Unpacking Gator and the World of ‘Fargo’
June 6, 2024Interview: Leslie Bibb on Character Layers in ‘Palm Royale’ and Her TV Trajectory
June 7, 2024Portraying someone who’s been alive for five hundred years and hasn’t spoken for one hundred is no easy feat, but Sam Spruell really rose to the challenge in season five of FX’s Fargo. His character, Ole Munch, is a terrifying and magnetic figure throughout the latest season of the anthology series who adheres to his own particular code that (almost always) only leads to fatal consequences for those who deserve them.
Awards Buzz spoke with Spruell about what was on the page and what he brought to the character. Watch the video above to see the winning smile he never displays on the show and to hear about his other work, including The Settlers and The North Water.
Sam Spruell is eligible for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at this year’s Emmy Awards. Season five of Fargo is available to stream on Hulu.
