In Kugel, Nuchem Shtisel (Sasson Gabai) lives in Antwerp with his wife Yides (Mili Avital) and their daughter Libi (Hadas Yaron). Nuchem’s self-serving decisions threaten a previously stable relationship with Yides, who realizes she wants more for herself, while Libi pursues the career she’s always wanted that isn’t typical for women in her religious community.
