In James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown, a young Bob Dylan (Timothée Chalamet) arrives in New York in search of his hero Woody Guthrie (Scoot McNairy) and connects with Pete Seeger (Edward Norton) as he begins his music career, which involves a professional and occasionally volatile relationship with Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro) and a temperamental romance with Sylvie Russo (Elle Fanning).
Awards Buzz spoke with editors Scott Morris and Andrew Buckland about getting footage from Mangold and having the opportunity to collaborate regularly with him on the cutting process. Watch the video above to hear about the challenges of editing a music film.
