Silas Weir Mitchell is an actor you’d likely recognize but you might not be easily able to place. His notable TV roles include arcs on 24 and Prison Break, and more recently in Grimm. For his latest part, he’s surrounded by a stacked ensemble in Detained, a thriller that opens on a woman (Abbie Cornish) being interrogated in the middle of the night at a precinct where things may not be at all as they seem.
Awards Buzz spoke with Mitchell about what appealed to him about this film – without going into too much detail given its twisty nature. Watch the video above to hear Mitchell reflect on his career and the formative parts he’s had.
