Initially known for her Danish-language films, including the Oscar-winning In a Better World, director Susanne has lately been working on prestige limited series, beginning with an Emmy win for The Night Manager and followed by The Undoing and The First Lady. Her most recent show is considerably lighter yet still deals with a criminal element: the Nantucket-set The Perfect Couple.
Awards Buzz spoke with Bier about what she knew of Nantucket (nothing) and the chance to work with this top-tier cast. Watch the video above to hear how she convinced the cast, particularly Nicole Kidman, to be part of the dance featured in the opening credits.
