In Victoria Warmerdam’s Oscar-nominated short film I’m Not a Robot, Lara (Ellen Parren) is unnerved when she is unable to complete a Captcha test and calls a customer service number that suggests to her that she may in fact be a robot, prompting a serious and disturbing investigation into what she’s always thought to be true.
