In Victoria Warmerdam’s Oscar-nominated short film I’m Not a Robot, Lara (Ellen Parren) is unnerved when she is unable to complete a Captcha test and calls a customer service number that suggests to her that she may in fact be a robot, prompting a serious and disturbing investigation into what she’s always thought to be true.
Awards Buzz spoke with Warmerdam about the inspiration for this film and whether she’s even considered if she could be a robot.
