In Sean Baker’s Anora, Ani (Mikey Madison) doesn’t want to let anyone tell her what to do, certainly not Igor (Yura Borisov), the quiet henchman dispatched by Toros (Karren Karagulian) to deal with the unruly Ivan (Mark Eydelshteyn) when his impulsive decisions threaten to negatively impact the family’s image.
Awards Buzz spoke with Borisov about acting in scenes with Madison and their vastly different energy levels and volumes. Watch the video above to hear how he’s reacting to the film’s warm reception, including a Gotham nomination for Borisov for his supporting performance.
