Interview: Austin Stark and Joseph Schuman on Reflecting the Present in the Past with ‘COUP!’

In Austin Stark and Joseph Schuman’s film COUP!, it’s 1918 and the Spanish Flu is spreading like wildfire. Journalist JC Horton (Billy Magnussen) reports on events in New York City – all while living out this pandemic from the comfort of an isolated island. When he hires an eccentric new cook, Floyd Monk (Peter Sarsgaard), the balance of power begins to shift in interesting and unexpected ways.
