Emmy nominations will be announced on July 15th. We’re running down the top contenders in a number of categories and offering predictions!
Last year’s nominees: Only Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live) isn’t on the ballot from last year. Expect returns from winner Jamie Lee Curtis (The Bear) and Olivia Colman (The Bear), and maybe repeats for Kaitlin Olson (Hacks), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Only Murders in the Building), and Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live).
Returning contenders: Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary) was nominated for her first time hosting the show and did so again this season.
Past nominees: Jane Adams (Hacks) was nominated for the first two seasons of her show and is on the ballot again this year. Last nominated in 2022, Jane Lynch (Only Murders in the Building) is competing in the supporting race this year.
The rest: The buzziest show of the season has a handful of contenders, many playing themselves, like Rebecca Hall (The Studio), Zoë Kravitz (The Studio), Greta Lee (The Studio), Sarah Polley (The Studio), and Olivia Wilde (The Studio). Keep an eye out for Melissa McCarthy (Only Murders in the Building), Cynthia Erivo (Poker Face), Margo Martindale (Poker Face), Julianne Nicholson (Hacks), as well as SNL hosts Scarlett Johansson (Saturday Night Live) and Jean Smart (Saturday Night Live). Othe possibilities include Robby Hoffman (Hacks), Gaby Hoffmann (Poker Face), Rhea Perlman (Poker Face), and Cobie Smulders (Shrinking).
