The 57th Annual NAACP Image Awards was a celebratory four-day extravaganza to remember. Following several days of honors, the event culminated in a two-hour TV special that aired on February 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET and CBS, live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
Under this year’s theme, “We See You,” the ceremony featured a stellar lineup of presenters, including Regina Hall, Sterling K. Brown, Halle Bailey, Janelle James, Ryan Coogler, Nicole Beharie, and the cast of Tyler Perry’s “Sistas.”
During the ceremony, Colman Domingo received the President’s Award, and Viola Davis accepted the Chairman’s Award. Ryan Coogler’s groundbreaking film, “Sinners,” had a historic night, winning 13 trophies in categories including Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Breakthrough Performance, Best Writing, Best Stunt Ensemble, Best Cinematography, Best Ensemble Cast, Best Soundtrack and Compilation Album, Best Original Score, and Best Costume Design. Additionally, “Sinners” star Michael B. Jordan was named Entertainer of the Year, dedicating his win to the late Chadwick Boseman.
Other major highlights included the induction of Salt-N-Pepa and DJ Spinderella into the Hall of Fame. On the television side, “Abbott Elementary” led with five awards, including Quinta Brunson for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. Additional multiple-award winners included Cardi B, Don Lemon, Michelle Obama, and Tyler Perry’s “Straw.”

This event celebrated the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color across more than 80 competitive categories spanning film, television + streaming, music, literature, and podcasts.
This year’s festivities officially kicked-off on February 7 with the Nominees’ Luncheon followed by various other events which includesd the ‘Celebrity Golf Invitational’ on February 23, ‘Pre-awards Virtual Shows’ from February 23 through February 25, the ‘Cinematic Short Film Showcase’ on February 24, the ‘Hollywood Bureau Symposium’ on February 25, ‘Image Artscape’ from February 26 through February 28, and the ‘Reception and Fashion Show’ on February 27. The Live Awards Show was held on February 28, 2026.
