About ‘Warfare’
Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland have truly created something special with “Warfare.” This isn’t just another military movie; it’s a powerful story about brotherhood and watching out for one another. Mendoza’s approach of immersing the cast in the harsh realities of the era led to an authentic story, forged strong bonds, and created lasting camaraderie. Connor mentioned that the experience started with shaving each other’s heads on the first night, which made everyone feel vulnerable and created an immediate sense of mutual support. The subsequent 3-week boot-camp further strengthened these bonds. As Poulter noted, the cast had to lean on each other throughout the journey, especially when they doubted their own capabilities. This level of commitment truly defines being fully present in a project!
Synopsis
