Latasha M. Ford had such an incredible opportunity to catch up with the legendary Jane Lynch for Awards Buzz to dive deep into Season 3 of Happy’s Place, which is premiering now on NBC!
The star brings incredible energy as she gets right into the nitty-gritty of playing Val, opening up about her character’s delightfully narcissistic ways, signature charming smile, and why working on a multi-cam sitcom is pure, unadulterated fun—especially in front of a live studio audience. She also opens up about what it was like becoming famous at 50 years old, sharing the real secrets to her massive success and why audiences all across the globe are bound to fall in love with this hilarious show and its wonderfully relatable, real-life characters.
During our conversation, Jane hilariously confessed that she has absolutely no idea what fans are saying about her online or how they are reacting to Val’s antics, adding even more charm to her delightful persona. We covered so much ground, from her standout roles in previous iconic episodes to the magical, electric bond she shares with her castmates on set.
