October 23, 2024In La Cocina, Estela (Anna Díaz) makes her way to The Grill, a bustling restaurant in Times Square in Manhattan, having been promised a job through friendly mothers back home in Mexico from Pedro (Raúl Briones). It turns out Pedro doesn’t have that kind of power, but he certainly commands an incomparable influence over the chaotic kitchen in which he works as one eventful day plays out over the course of the film.

La Cocina opens at the Angelika in New York on Friday, October 25th and at the Laemmle Monica in Los Angeles on Friday, November 1st, followed by a national theatrical release.
