Working with filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof is an endgame which would inspire many to do anything to make happen, and in the case of editor Andrew Bird, that meant getting footage only at a certain point, working in a language he didn’t speak, and having very limited screening opportunities before delivering his finished product.
Awards Buzz spoke with Bird about the process of seeing a script and then receiving footage as it was sent to him. Watch the video above to hear about the challenges he faced in putting everything together and the impact of seeing his work with an audience.
