In Dark Matter, physicist Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton) wakes up in a world that’s not his own only to learn that another version of himself is living his life. As he tries to get back to his world, Dessen encounters an infinite number of realities just different enough from his own to keep pushing him to do whatever he can to get back home.
Awards Buzz spoke with showrunner Blake Crouch about transforming his own novel for the small screen and the joy of writing for an intelligent audience.
