In Nobody Wants This, young rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) and podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) meet and, against their best efforts, fall for each other. Noah’s commitment to his Judaism stands in stark contrast to Joanne’s lack of connection to any religion, and the two must decide whether it’s worth giving it a shot or if their lifestyles are just too far apart to make it work.
Awards Buzz spoke with creator Erin Foster about how her own relationship led her to write the show and to develop the characters of Noah and Joanne.
