More than two decades after its Broadway debut, the long-running musical Wicked finally arrives on the big screen. Aiding its spectacular transition are costume designer Paul Tazewell and makeup and hair designer Frances Hannon, who ensure that the memorable looks of each character spring to extraordinary life as they dance through this mesmerizing and magical world.
Awards Buzz spoke with Tazewell and Hannon about the biggest challenges they faced in making Wicked work as a film. Watch the video above to hear all about their approaches to eyeglasses, school uniforms, and signature hair.
Wicked opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, November 22nd.
