Two years ago, Jabari Banks made his acting debut playing Will Smith in Bel-Air, the dramatic reboot of the popular 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Three seasons in, Banks has gotten very comfortable in the role, fleshing out the complexities of his character as he grapples with transforming relationships with his cousin Carlton (Olly Sholotan) and two women in his life: Lisa (Simone Joy Jones) and Jackie (Jazlyn Martin).
Awards Buzz spoke with Banks about how he relates to the original show and where he thinks this one is headed. Watch the video above to hear some of what he likes most about season three and working with the rest of the cast.
