June 8, 2024Tribeca Review: ‘Sabbath Queen’ is a Stirring Portrait of a Trailblazing Religious Leader
June 9, 2024Hacks, now back for its third season on Max, is a show about the unhealthy working dynamic between veteran comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder). Deborah also has a less-than-perfect relationship with her daughter, DJ (Kaitlin Olson), who craves her mother’s attention but often only gets jokes in response to any effort she makes to connect.
Awards Buzz spoke with Olson about preparing for DJ’s roast of her mother and all that went into it. Watch the video above to hear her reflect on her recurring role on this series and other roles, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and the upcoming High Potential, which premieres this fall on ABC.
Kaitlin Olson is eligible for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series at this year’s Emmy Awards. Seasons one through three of Hacks are available to stream on Max.
