On FX’s What We Do in the Shadows, four vampires live together in Staten Island, clueless about so many aspects of modern life yet inexplicably able to get by without arousing too much suspicion, thanks in large part to the extensive efforts of familiar Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) to educate them on basic present-day common sense.
Awards Buzz spoke with writer and executive producer Paul Simms about how the show evolved from the adaptation of a movie into a six-season TV comedy. Watch the video above to hear about how FX didn’t impose limitations on content and which vampire he relates to most.
All six seasons of What We Do in the Shadows are streaming on Hulu.
