The new series Matlock isn’t actually a remake of the classic 1980s legal drama, but it does feature a number of callbacks to it. Among the characters under suspicion by Matty (Kathy Bates) as she tries to find justice for her daughter’s death is Olympia (Skye Marshall), who is navigating her own ascent to the top while working day-to-day with Julian (Jason Ritter), her husband from whom she’s in the process of separating.
Awards Buzz spoke with Marshall about the connection she felt when she read about her character and felt like she needed to have the role. Watch the video above to hear how she’s desperate to find out anything she can about what’s to come in season two.
