From the mind of Booker Prizewinning author Marlon James, Get Millie Black follows Inspector Millie Black (Tamara Lawrance) as she returns to her hometown of Kingston in Jamaica where she partners with Luke (Joe Dempsie) and Curtis (Gershwyn Eustache Jnr) in the process of working an increasingly complicated case that touches on her own past, including her sister Hibiscus (Chyna McQueen).
Awards Buzz had the chance to speak with the cast, James, and executive producers Simon Maxwell and Jamie O’Brien about how they all became involved with the series. Watch the videos above to hear a preview of what to expect and how this show really doesn’t feel like anything else out there.
Get Millie Black premieres on HBO on Monday, November 25th at 9pm, with new episodes debuting on Mondays through the finale on December 23rd.
