In Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) has relocated to New York City in search of his son Harrison (Jack Alcott). He soon finds himself invited to an exclusive and top-secret club of killers hosted by Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage) and carefully organized by Charley Brown (Uma Thurman), his head of security.
Awards Buzz spoke with Thurman, who famously played a hero battling a number of villains in the two Kill Bill films, about whether she views this character as a villain:
“I don’t see her as a villain because it’s how I sort of ally with my character. I just don’t see her really as a villain. I see her as a person in a very particular circumstance with a very particular background and training and set of skills and at times limited choices and at times a larger choice selection. That’s the fun thing is watching the character process all that.”
She had only praise for her costar and series star Michael C. Hall:
“We have a really good relationship, I think. Some people think he’s hard to read, but I find him to be really a beautiful artist. I love acting with him. He’s so completely grounded and down to earth and subtle and you really have to watch him and listen to him to be in the moment with him. To me, that’s a wonderful source creatively live on screen. It feels very real.”

Season one of Dexter: Resurrection is streaming on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME.
