Vella Lovell’s first major TV role was as the memorably unmotivated Heather Davis in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Next up was a gig as chief of staff Mikaela Shaw in Mr. Mayor, which lasted two seasons, and now she’s back in another sitcom as Emily Price in Fox’s Animal Control opposite Joel McHale.
Awards Buzz spoke with Lovell about the challenges of working with nonhuman costars as well as how she feels about her human costars. Watch the video above to hear her reflect on her career and celebrate past roles, including the short-lived series As We See It.
