October 26, 2024AFI Fest Review: ‘The Room Next Door’ is a Reliably Terrific Collaboration Between Pedro Almodóvar, Tilda Swinton, and Julianne Moore
October 27, 2024Stars from the upcoming Fall Lineup for the Warner Brothers TV Group gathered in Hollywood to celebrate one of the most diverse fall premieres to-date. WBTG has shows across various channels and streamers and we saw new content in everything from classic sitcoms to hard hitting medical dramas to reality TV, True Crime and more! Spirits were high as attendees got to interact in activations that showcased the sights, tastes and even scents of the new lineup!
Awards Buzz talked to stars from some of your favorite shows, like John Ortiz who stars on Apple TV Plus’s Bad Monkey. He talked to us about improvising with Vince Vaughn and what we could look forward to in the upcoming season. We also spoke to the cast of the hottest new medical drama Brilliant Minds about being on a show that actually represents New York and the fascinating cases they learned about. Brilliant Minds airs on NBC and Peacock alongside fan fave Found. I had a great time talking to Found’s EP Sonay Hoffman about what it is that makes Gabby Mosely (Shanola Thompson) so irresistible.
If animation is your thing, there are two special shows coming! We spoke with the cast of Cartoon Network’s Gremlins: The Wild Batch who talked to use about what they would do if they had gremlins. Then we got to chat with Juston Gordon-Montgomery about Invincible Fight Girl, also on Cartoon Network. It ended up being a full circle moment as I’d spoken with him over a year ago about the project that was still in its infancy.
We talked to casts from The Cleaning Lady (Fox & Hulu next day), Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (CBS), Rescue: HI Surf (Fox & Hulu next day), Superman & Lois (Max) and so many more! And we even got some magical details about the upcoming Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking competition series from hosts James and Oliver Phelps! That’s right, the Weasley twins are all grown up and excited to keep the love of the story going with wonderful fandom communities.
Overall the night was exciting and filled with a lot of laughs, libations and fans looking forward to the upcoming seasons. Stay tuned for more news on some of the shows coming soon!
