Winners List: 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards Night One

The 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards are taking place this weekend, Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Or, as Maya Rudolph refers to it: “the real Emmys.”

The Big Mouth Emmy winner opened the September 6 show, recognizing the room full of “baddies.” Night one saw big wins for The Penguin, The Studio (at one point prompting a “duh” from Hacks star Robby Hoffman), Andor, Severance, and an excited Giancarlo Esposito even presented a couple of wins for The Boys.

Julianne Nicholson won Best Comedy Guest Actress for “Dance Mom” in Hacks, and first-time nominee Shawn Hatosy won Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role as “Dr. Jack Abbot” in HBO Max’s The Pitt, quoting his seven-year-old son, “Holy, s@#%!” Best Comedy Guest Actor went to Bryan Cranston for “Griffin Mill” in The Studio, and Merritt Wever was awarded Best Drama Guest Actress for playing “Gretchen George” in Severance.

Apple TV+’s The Studio led the pack with 9 Emmy wins, followed by HBO Max’s The Penguin with 8. Apple’s Severance took home 6 awards, while Disney+’s Andor and Netflix’s Arcane and Love, Death + Robots each earned 4. Prime Video’s The Boys and Netflix’s Bridgerton received 3 awards each, while HBO Max’s The Pitt and Netflix’s Adolescence collected 2.
