In writer-director Heather Graham’s Chosen Family, Ann (Graham) is constantly worrying about other people, including her sister Clio (Julia Stiles), fresh out of rehab and still struggling. Her supportive group of friends are excited when she meets what seems like the perfect man, Steve (John Brotherton), who comes with one unfortunate catch: his seven-year-old daughter Lily (Ella Grace Helton), who has no intention of allowing Ann any semblance of peace with her father.
