Filmmaker Beth Lane makes her feature directorial debut with UnBroken, a story about her family: her mother and her six siblings survived Nazi Germany and all found their way to safety before being reunited years later. It’s a deeply compelling film that speaks to the humanity of the people involved and allows them to share their own experiences as they reflect back on everything they’ve endured.
Awards Buzz spoke with Lane about the decision to make a film and what she learned along the way about both her family and filmmaking.
