In the pilot episode of Seasoned, Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody are set to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary with a romantic dinner at a nice restaurant in New York City. But when they stay too long after attending a play, their night gets derailed and the fortitude of their relationship is put to the test as hunger and misery set in.
Awards Buzz spoke with Patinkin and Grody about how it feels to play themselves and to get to act alongside one another for the first time in decades. Watch the videos above to hear how impressed they are that their son, Gideon Grody-Patinkin, and his creative partner Ewen Wright are able to write scripts full of lines that they genuinely believe they would say in real life.
Seasoned makes its world premiere in the Indie Episodic section at the 2025 Tribeca Festival.
