Production designer Cabot McMullen has spent more than three decades collaborating with producer Bill Lawrence, helping shape the visual worlds of Spin City, Scrubs, Cougar Town, Shrinking, and now Rooster.
In conversation with Awards Buzz, McMullen reflects on a career built alongside one of television’s most prolific creators, discussing how design can communicate grief in Shrinking and how he approached the cultural and generational tensions at the center of Rooster.
