Golden Globe Nominations Announced: A Great Day for NEON

Nominations for the 83rd Golden Globes have been announced. On the film side, One Battle After Another leads all films with nine bids, followed by Sentimental Value with eight and Sinners with seven. For television, The White Lotus scored its best-ever haul with six mentions, followed by Adolescence with five and Only Murders in the Building and Severance with four each.

It was a particularly impressive haul for distributor NEON, which dominated five out of six slots in the Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language category and also managed to earn half the spots in the Best Motion Picture – Drama race and an additional bid for Best Motion Picture – Comedy/Musical.

While many nominations were expected, there were also noteworthy omissions, including the absence of Wicked: For Good in the top category and Wake Up Dead Man in all races after previously positive franchise performance.

We’ll be back throughout the day with more detailed reactions and in the coming weeks with interviews and predictions. For now, see below for the full list of nominees!
