Golden Globe Winners

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards were presented on Sunday, January 5th. The most nominated film, Emilia Pérez, ended up with the most prizes – four – taking home Best Motion Picture – Comedy/Musical, Best Non-English Film, Best Original Song, and Best Supporting Actress. The Brutalist was next with three prizes: Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Director, and Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. Edging out potential Oscar rivals were Demi Moore for The Substance and Fernanda Torres for I’m Still Here in the actress races, Sebastian Stan for A Different Man, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for their Challengers score, and Flow for Best Animated Feature.

On the TV side, Shōgun won all four of the prizes it was up for, including Best TV Series – Drama and three acting awards, while Hacks returned to the Best TV Series – Comedy/Musical lineup to win again along with star Jean Smart, who claimed her third trophy. Jeremy Allen White also won his third consecutive acting prize for The Bear. Continuing its yearlong awards domination, Baby Reindeer won Best Limited or Anthology Series as well as the supporting actress prize for Jessica Gunning. Colin Farrell and Jodie Foster took home the limited series acting prizes for The Penguin and True Detective: Night Country, respectively.
